As April Fool’s Day is almost near,
We’re all slyly planning our fun.
Spend some time and make good choices,
You never know, you could just about fool someone!
If you don’t participate,
There is a chance, you know,
You could soon be running about and screaming,
“Oh no!”
While the whole room is filled with laughter,
You silently sit and wonder.
While everyone is filled with grins,
You are left to ponder.
Then the room fills with delighted cheers, “April Fools!”
And everyone is laughing at you.
But you just cannot resist,
So you join in the laughter too!

Last March, my auntie got a brand new car, she was obsessed! A few days later, it was April 1st; Dad was driving me to school and we saw my auntie coming out of her street. My dad said, “Let’s freak Auntie Lynda out!” My dad phoned her and asked, “What happened?” She said, “Huh?” My dad replied, “Who scraped the car?” In seconds, Auntie Lynda indicated, pulled over, turned her hazards on and ran around the side of the car. We drove past tooting and giggling. I can’t tell you what she said as it wasn’t very polite!

Imagine if the Universe pranked everyone by making us think we’re suffering through a dangerous disease called Covid-19, but when April 1st comes around, a scientist reveals that Covid-19 was just a flu; a flu that was like oxygen, spreading like wildfire. Wouldn’t that be ironic? Everyone would have hundreds of rolls of toilet roll and hundreds of cans of Heinz beans in their cupboards! Not to mention the freezer is packed full. I have a powerful feeling that if it happened, we’d be seeing it in the history books.
