Ben Blackmore, Sixth Form student at Strangford College today received his Gold Duke of Edinburgh Award at Buckingham Palace.

Ben began his Duke of Edinburgh journey in 2016 and was part of the first ever Bronze Award at the College. He achieved his Silver Award in 2017. Over the past 2 years he has worked extremely hard and remained dedicated to his goal of achieving the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award. Princess Eugenie presented Ben with the Award and he was accompanied by his Mum and Principal Mrs Foster.

This is an amazing achievement for an outstanding Student and a very proud moment for Strangford College.
