There is lots planned in the lead up to World Book Day on THURSDAY 7th MARCH 2024 .
Students and Staff are encouraged to get involved and celebrate the amazing gift of Books.
What is World Book Day?
World Book Day is a celebration of reading for pleasure run by the charity World Book Day. Their mission is to promote reading for pleasure, offering every child and young person the opportunity to have a book of their own. Reading for pleasure is important because it’s proven that people who choose to read in their spare time do better at school and work and feel happier too.

WORLD BOOK DAY TOKENS - Given to every student.

ENJOY A FREE AUDIO BOOK IN CLASS - https://www.worldbookday.com/world-of-stories/Follow the Link and scroll down to the Fluent and Independent Reader section - choose one of the Free Audio Books to listen to in class. Everything from Football Heroes, Norse Legends, Sci Fi, and even Maths.

EARN HOUSE POINTS BYRETURNING OVERDUE LIBRARY BOOKS - for others to Enjoy! 100 points per returned overdue book, up to 15th March 2024.WRITE A BOOK REVIEW FOR ECLIPSE, the Library App - 50 Points per published Review.MASKED READER - 750 HOUSE POINTS up for Grabs for the winning entry - if there are more than one entry with all answers correct, those entries will be put in a hat and Winner chosen at Random. Form Tutors are asked to promote this at Registration next week - Please show video on the Clevertouch screen and share on Form Class Team - the video and answer sheet will be sent separately.
